About

A sanctuary for healing in the Permian Basin.

The Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center (PBBHC) is a purpose-built behavioral health campus serving West Texas and southeastern New Mexico, a region of more than 17 counties that has long been underserved by mental health care.

Designed around light, landscape, and modern clinical practice, PBBHC brings together inpatient psychiatry, crisis response, outpatient therapy, and specialized programs for adolescents, adults, and seniors, all under one roof.

We're opening in phases so we can deliver each service the way it deserves to be delivered: with the right team, the right space, and the right care from day one.

    Adult Walk-In Assessments

Walk-in behavioral health assessments are available for adults (18 years and older). Admissions are based on clinical appropriateness, bed availability, and operational capacity.

    Growing Through a Phased Opening

Our phased opening allows us to safely expand services while continuing staff development, operational readiness, and patient-centered care. Additional programs and capacity will be introduced as milestones are achieved.

    Emergency Care Guidance

Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center is not an emergency department. Individuals experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

    Future Service Lines

Future phases include expanded adult services and the planned addition of specialized competency restoration, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric behavioral health programs, pending regulatory approvals and operational readiness.

    Building Our Workforce

Continued recruitment, clinical training, and program development remain central to safely expanding services while maintaining high standards of quality and patient care.

    Committed to Our Community

Each phase of expansion strengthens access to behavioral healthcare closer to home, reducing barriers to care for patients, families, and referring providers throughout the Permian Basin.
