Inpatient Mental Health Programs in Midland, Texas

Inpatient mental health treatment provides around-the-clock care in a structured hospital setting for people whose psychiatric symptoms, functioning or safety needs require more support than can be provided in the community. PBBHC currently serves adults and is preparing additional age-specific programs through a phased opening.

About Inpatient Mental Health Care

When 24/7 psychiatric support is the right level of care.

Hospitalization may be appropriate when severe symptoms or an acute emotional or behavioral crisis make it difficult for a person to function safely outside a hospital. An assessment considers the immediate presentation, safety concerns and the type of clinical support required; a diagnosis alone does not determine admission.

Inpatient care focuses on stabilization and readiness for a safe transition. Depending on the program and individual plan, care may include psychiatric assessment, medication evaluation and oversight, safety monitoring, therapeutic support, coping-skills work and coordinated discharge planning. The clinical goal is to address the immediate crisis while preparing for what comes next.

Planned Expansion

Age-specific inpatient programs.

Older adults, adolescents and children have different clinical, developmental and family needs. PBBHC's planned programs are designed as distinct services rather than one adult model applied to every age group.

Not Sure If Inpatient Care Is the Right Fit?

Start with a clinical conversation.

Intake can explain current adult services and the assessment or referral process. Admission depends on clinical need, program criteria, bed availability and operating capacity.
