Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Midland
PBBHC's planned intensive outpatient program is designed for people who need consistent, structured mental health treatment while continuing to live at home and maintain work, school or family responsibilities.
AvailabilityOutpatient services, including the intensive outpatient program, are planned and are not currently presented as open.

What to expect from the planned IOP.
An intensive outpatient program provides scheduled treatment several times a week while the person continues living at home. It is often used as a step down after inpatient care or partial hospitalization, or as a step up when weekly therapy is not providing enough support.
The planned program is expected to include therapeutic groups, individual clinical contact and coordination with psychiatric care as clinically appropriate. Specific schedules, session length, program duration and group focus areas will be confirmed as PBBHC finalizes its outpatient services.
IOP typically involves fewer structured hours per week than a partial hospitalization program, which can make it easier to maintain work, school or caregiving responsibilities. The appropriate level of care depends on symptoms, safety, functioning and how much structure a person needs.
What will set the IOP apart.
Four steps once outpatient services open.
Confirm the program is open

Complete an assessment
A clinical review will determine whether IOP, PHP, inpatient care or another option best fits current symptoms and safety needs.
Review the schedule
The team will explain session days and times, attendance expectations, transportation considerations and payment requirements published at launch.
Begin treatment
Once enrolled, the person attends scheduled sessions while living at home, with progress and level of care reviewed over time.
