Specialty Behavioral Health Programs in Midland, Texas
Some needs don't fit neatly into inpatient or outpatient categories. PBBHC's specialty programs address court-directed treatment, focused psychiatric assessment, short-term observation and specific psychiatric therapies — each with its own clinical criteria and referral pathway.
Focused services alongside our levels of care.
Specialty programs are distinct services that support the broader continuum of care. A person may enter a specialty program directly — through a court order or a psychiatric evaluation, for example — or move into one from an inpatient or outpatient program.
Each program has its own eligibility criteria, length of service and referral process. Our intake team can explain which specialty services are open today and what documentation is needed to begin.

Psychiatric evaluation.
A psychiatric evaluation is often the first clinical step. It identifies what is happening, rules out medical contributors and recommends the level of care most likely to help.
